Love to read when I'm not in a theatre somewhere...er...well, I've been known to read in theatres, too.  My favorites include mysteries, urban fantasy, science fiction, romance but I find myself reading more and more biographies (like rock star biographies - OMG!) and Vietnam memoirs as I've gotten older.

Since my boys have grown and moved off into their own places, I've gotten to actually hold and use the remote control to the television though.  This has led to the discovery of the CSI shows.  My younger years and college education was all Criminal Justice and I've been hooked.  I also enjoy TCM, Encore Western Channel, and when it was still on - AZN, the Asian Network - the best television dramas EVER! (go figure)  I've gotten some of the best movies in this genre from SwapADVD, too!

I live in and work for the city of Irving.  I am tasked with informing the public about environmental issues related to water pollution prevention (stormwater management and pollution prevention.)  It's different.  It's enjoyable.   And I work with a lot of very interesting and dedicated people.  I produce commercials about stormwater pollution prevention for airing on broadcast and cable television (lots of fun).  I love getting to see them when they run or hearing that someone saw one.

As a hobby I work in theatre in Dallas, Fort Worth and in-between.  I stage manage, AD, and for real entertainment, run a follow-spot when one of my best friend's designs the lighting.  Having said that though, I'll admit I've gotten really lazy and would mostly rather just come home after a day at work and veg out in front of the TV or with a book!
